The program will focus on making you a better individual and team player in Valorant, from ranking up in solo que to finding a team and doing well. University of New Haven faculty will go over multiple topics such as: mechanical training, decision making, demo review, utility use, and more! You will take a step into the competitive and team environment that is required to go far in Valorant. We will go over all the important mindsets and overall mentality required to take visible steps in skill within Valorant, and talk over important of wellness, teamwork, leadership, communication, and working as a team.

- Mental Preparation Exercises
Faculty will talk about the intangibles of esports and how you can use your hours in gaming to help build your resume and career. The program will dive into how "mental" plays a role in competition and how you interact with your team. Faculty will go over what schools, directors, and coaches look for when recruiting players into their program and discuss the best ways to receive scholarship for esports.
Academically, this program will help you identify key opportunities for career growth and development in esports. Particular attention will be paid to key topics in esports business, where a tremendous number of career opportunities are arising.
Students should come ready to participate in group activities and guest lectures delving into such areas as:
- Project management
- Talent management
- Product development
- Event organization
- Athlete health
- Esports integrity
If you believe your future is in esports on the competition or academic side, this program will be the best step in that direction.
Students should be entering 9th - 12th grades for the 2021-22 academic year.
