About Joey
I graduated from the University of New Haven in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Art. I continued my education at Western Connecticut State University and earned a master’s of fine arts degree in Visual Arts and Painting.
During my time as an undergraduate student at the University of New Haven, I worked as an intern at the Seton Gallery on campus. I was able to exhibit my artwork regularly at juried shows at the University and throughout the New Haven community. I also spent time at the University’s satellite campus in Prato, Italy. This experience provided the opportunity to completely immerse myself in historical art while living and studying in the Tuscany region. Upon returning stateside, I became a member of the Society for Experiential Education. I also received an Excellence in Studio Art award and currently have my artwork included in the University’s permanent collection.
See MoreWhile attending graduate school, I became interested in the inner workings of higher education institutions. I worked as a graduate assistant in two studio art classes and enjoyed assisting students in their artistic and academic growth. Similarly, I spent a few years working closely with Girls, Inc. – a nonprofit organization. I am passionate about helping students find the path toward leading a purposeful life. The diverse and ardent faculty and staff, paired with innovative and immersive course offerings and degree programs make the University of New Haven a great place to start your college career.
I look forward to meeting with you and your family to guide you through the admissions process!
