About Jennifer
Jennifer Cinque was named associate vice president for human resources and organizational development in June 2021. Jennifer serves as the University’s Chief Human Resources Officer and is responsible for leading the development and execution of the University’s human resource strategy in support of its overall strategic direction, and overseeing HR functions including talent management, performance management, training and development, and compensation philosophy.
A seasoned human resources professional with more than two decades of diversified experience in both academia and the corporate world, Jennifer joined the University from Yale, where she was most recently director of organizational effectiveness and staff development.
At Yale, she oversaw organizational development, talent management and Yale’s learning and development center. She and her team modernized a new performance management feedback program, redesigned a management and professional development training curriculum for effective online delivery in the wake of the pandemic, and led efforts to build an integrated talent management system by building contemporary succession planning tools. She also directed Yale’s recruitment and hiring organization.
Jennifer’s corporate experience was primarily spent at United States Surgical Corporation, a division of Tyco Healthcare, where she was the director of a global human resources business partner team as well as the talent acquisition group.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies, concentrating in psychology and sociology, at Southern Connecticut State University, a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Quinnipiac, and a certificate in human resources management from Fairfield University.
