Mark Solomon is Vice President of Investigations for Synchrony Financial (SYF) Special Investigation Team (SIT). Mark is responsible for investigating large scale fraud, financial and cyber-crimes for SYF.

Prior to joining Synchrony, Mark spent more than 26-years as a member of the Greenwich Police Department with more than 18-years as a Detective investigating complex, fraud, financial and cybercrimes for both the Department and the CT Financial Crimes Task Force (U.S. Secret Service).

Solomon is currently the International 1st Vice President of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI) and continues to help promote the sharing of information within law enforcement and between law enforcement and the financial industry. Mark is also a Certified Cyber Crimes Investigator through the IAFCI.

Solomon has been an instructor by the State of Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.) and is considered an expert in the field of financial crimes investigations. Solomon has provided training for law enforcement, private sector industries, and to the public both nationally and internationally.
