Registration and Refunds

Family Day has reached its registration capacity. We look forward to hosting our Charger Families on Sept. 25. If you registered and are now unable to attend, please refer to your email receipt to initiaite a refund through Eventbrite. Refunds will be honored up until 1 day before the event (Friday, September 24).


Required Public Health Measures

NOTE: Per University policy that was released on 8/10/21, families participating in Family Day will be required to show proof of full vaccination (14 days or more after receiving the final dose of a vaccine) or proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR or viral antigen test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival on campus. Children under 5 will not need to show proof of vaccination or COVID test. Students will need to show CoVerified upon arrival to all Family Day events. We must continue to be diligent on and off campus in following the comprehensive public health measures that are in place, including wearing face coverings while indoors, regardless of vaccination status, and at large outdoor gatherings such as our Family Day events.


Arrival and Parking

When arriving for Family Day, please go directly to one of the following parking lots:

  • P 9 - Pruden Street
  • P19 - Bergami West
  • P24 - Wade Street
  • P45 - Hoffman Street
  • P51 - Railroad Salvage
  • ESUMS (shown in pink on the map)

These lots are shown on our Interactive Parking Map. Check-in is located at the Beckerman Recreation Center. If you are unfamiliar with campus, you can click "Wayfinding" on the map to enter your location and see walking directions to the Beckerman Center. There will also be employees stationed around campus to help provide directions, and shuttles are being provided from the parking lots.

All events are first come, first served. Priority will be given to those families who pre-register online.

Please note, the schedule is subject to change at any time so please be sure to check back periodically, especially once you are on campus.

We need your help to support and sustain these projects! It’s the time of year when we’re all transitioning our closets from summer to fall, so please take a few extra minutes while you’re sorting through your clothes and consider donating your new or gently used professional wear. Acceptable items: blouses, suits & suit separates, trousers/skirts/dresses, blazers, button down shirts), and accessories such as belts or bags, please NO SHOES.

Clothing donations must be clean and preferably on a hanger. You may also bring a non-perishable food item, and/or health & wellness item for donation; Acceptable items: cereals, shelf-stable milk & milk alternatives, coffee/tea options, nut butters, jelly, granola bars, macaroni & cheese, pasta, rice, sauces/canned tomatoes, canned veggies/fruits, condiments/salad dressings, shampoos, soap, deodorant, laundry detergent (liquid or pods), toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene care.

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT EXPIRED FOOD ITEMS. Donations will be accepted upon check in for Family Day. Any questions in regard to acceptable donations can be directed to

Stuff your very own fluffy keepsake from Family Day. Have some family fun while making your own stuffed animal. Supplies will be distributed first come, first served.

10 a.m. Women’s Tennis v. American International

Check out the Chargers women’s tennis team take on the Yellow Jackets from AIC. No tickets needed.

North Campus
10 - 11:30 a.m. School of Health Sciences Smoothie Station

Mix and mingle with the staff of the new School of Health Sciences as they WHIP up some summer smoothies (First-come, first-served).

Stop in to check out Charlie’s Hangout for a friendly game of pool, some competitive ping pong, or some giant jenga or checkers! Located on the bottom floor of Bergami Hall (next to Moe’s and WoW).

Meals will be served in the Marketplace (Bartels Campus Center), WoW (Bergami Hall), and Food On Demand (Westside Hall). Menus vary based on location. Meal tickets will be provided for all family members. Additional seating will be provided outside at the Bethel lawn tent.

11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Tour of the Crime Scene Training House

This house is used for students to process a mock crime scene. Take a tour of the space and see if you have what it takes to be a crime scene investigator. Tours will be available every 30 minutes.

Learn how to salsa with students from the Incendio Dance Project. Salsa demonstrations will be held from 12:45 - 1:15 p.m., 1:30 - 2 p.m., and 2:15 - 2:45 p.m.

Check out the Chargers take on cross-town rival Southern Connecticut State - tickets are included in Family Day registration. Make sure to confirm ticket at registration.

Visit the Myatt Center for Diversity and Inclusion to meet the Diversity Peer Educators and learn about the various cultures represented at the University of New Haven.

Online pre-registration was required through Eventbrite. You and your team are trapped and you only have a short amount of time to escape the room by solving puzzles that challenge your mind. Be ready to think creatively.

7 p.m. Men’s Soccer v. Saint Anselm College

In the heart of the UNH campus, watch the men’s soccer team take on the Saint Anselm Hawks in an NE10 match. No tickets needed.

8 - 10 p.m. Movie Night: Raya and the Last Dragon

Wrap up your Family Day with movie night! Come watch this live action film and grab a late night snack from one of our food trucks!
