Arrival and Parking

Available Family Day parking lots and shuttle stops are shown on our Interactive Parking Map for Family Day 2022.

When arriving for Family Day, please go directly to one of the following parking lots (in numerical order):

  • P9 - Pruden Street
  • P19 - Bergami West
  • P24 - Wade Street
  • P35 – Charger Plaza
  • P37 – Alling Street (University Student Hall) – Shuttle Available Here (8 a.m. – 6 p.m.)
  • P45 – Hoffman Street
  • P51 - Railroad Salvage – Shuttle Available Here (8 a.m. – 6 p.m.)

After parking, please proceed to the Beckerman Recreation Center for Family Day check-in. If you are unfamiliar with campus, you can click "Wayfinding" on the interactive map to enter your location and see walking directions to the Beckerman Center. There will also be employees stationed around campus to help provide directions.

Shuttles will be provided from the Railroad Salvage and University Student Hall lots, only, looping to the Peterson Library Shuttle Stop. Shuttles will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Schedule is subject to change. All events are first come, first served. The Escape Room is limited to pre-registration ticket holders only.

Get ready to experience fun and interactive inflatables, geared for families of all ages hosted by SCOPE (Student Committee of Programming Events).

11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Charger Pride Snapshots
Grab your family and friends and strike a pose at our photo booth station!
Bartels Patio (between Maxcy Hall and Bartels Campus Center)
11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Lawn Games
Bring your family members and challenge another team to a friendly lawn game.
Lawn Between Beckerman Recreation Center and Bayer Hall/Bethel Lawn
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Lunch
Meals will be served in the Marketplace (Bartels Campus Center), WoW (Bergami Hall), and Food On Demand (Westside Hall). Menus vary based on location. Meal tickets will be provided for all family members during check in!

11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Shuttles to North Campus for Football Game
No sign up necessary, bus space is filled on a first come, first served basis.

Join the University of New Haven Marching Band as they charge to DellaCamera Stadium to cheer on the football team!

The challenge where brain meets brawn! Challenge your family and friends to obstacle course and puzzles to test your grit and wit.

2 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Escape Room
Online pre-registration is required through Eventbrite during Family Day registration while tickets are available.

You and your team are trapped and you only have a short amount of time to escape the room by solving puzzles that challenge your mind. Be ready to think creatively.

2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Myatt Center for Diversity and Inclusion Open House
Visit the Myatt Center for Diversity and Inclusion to meet the Diversity Peer Educators and learn about the various cultures represented at the University of New Haven.

Join us for an outdoor showing of “Encanto” on the big screen! We encourage you to bring a blanket, towel or portable chair for you and your family. Singing is highly encouraged!
