ABET
ABET is a form of quality assurance for programs in the areas of applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. The University's undergraduate Computer Science program is accredited by ABET's Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC), while the undergraduate programs for Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering are accredited by ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC).
National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations
The University of New Haven’s B.S. in Cybersecurity – Cyber Operations concentration has been redesignated as a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Operations (CO) by the National Security Agency until 2030. The certification recognizes the Cyber Operations concentration in the University's B.S. in Cybersecurity program. The concentration uses the electives within our programs to help satisfy all mandatory knowledge units and additional knowledge units so our students can earn the Cyber Operations designation within the undergraduate program. There are currently 23 schools in the United States that feature Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations supported by the NSA.
